Assistant Slot Shift Manager

Responsible for managing slot operations during an assigned shift, consistent with Pala business standards and the Pala mission statement. The individual has direct oversight of all aspects of daily slot operations functions while fostering strong Team Member and guest engagements. Perform all the duties of a Slot Shift Manager in the absences of the Slot Shift Manager.

• Two (2) years experience in a slot department setting and/or hospitality environment.
• Two (2) years supervisory experience required.
• Possess the ability to understand and comply with departmental and company rules and regulations, policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate the ability to maintain effective working relationships with staff.
• Demonstrate the ability to counsel and develop subordinates in a fair, equal and favorable work environment.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to operate basic office equipment and two-way radios.
• Computer experience in Microsoft Windows, and Oasis systems interface.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

• Assist in overseeing departmental functions on the casino floor for an assigned shift.
• Assist in the administration of department policies and procedures.
• Monitor and maintain compliance with all aspects of the Pala Casino internal controls.
• Monitor and maintain compliance with all aspects of the Pala Gaming Commission.
• Evaluate the performance of subordinates.
• Maintain clear and open communication.
• Assist in the training, counseling, discipline, and evaluation of staff.
• Maintain required key controls.
• Perform job functions of subordinates as necessary.
• Safeguard Company funds.
• Authorize jackpots on the casino floor.
• Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
• Maintain confidentiality of pertinent casino data and guest information.
• Be knowledgeable about the Pala Casino’s services, features, attractions, promotions and special events to respond accurately to guest/team member inquiries.
• Be completely knowledgeable about the basic functions of slot machines.
• Circulate throughout the casino; monitor the level of business activity and staffing requirements. Adjust slot staff as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
