Customer Service​/Office Clerk

We are seeking a Customer Service/Office Clerk to join our team! You will be responsible for helping customers by providing product and service information and resolving technical issues.

• Handle customer inquiries and complaints
• Provide information about the products and services
• Troubleshoot and resolve product issues and concerns
• Develop and maintain a knowledge base of the evolving products and service
• Receive sales orders from customers and processes orders.
• Review incoming orders for accuracy, material availability and price changes
• Works with the Sale and Marketing to review pricing for new orders.
• Compiles information for each order and enters it on the Order Information sheet.
• Prepare invoices, certificate of compliance documents as necessary.
• Prepares shipping documents, labels and coordinates shipments with customers.
• Prepare UPS and Fed Ex shipments and take them to the shipping department for pick up.
• Preparing or updating employment onboarding documents
• Filing including invoices and vendor payments.
• Maintain customer logs, material usage logs and inventory as needed
• Coordinate and provide supplies or other information as needed by Production.
• Assist Production with packaging and handling parts when needed.
• Perform appropriate duties as assigned by management
• Maintain a safe and clean work space

• Previous experience in customer service and in a manufacturing operation.
• Previous Purchasing experience desired.
• Ability to build rapport with clients
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Positive and professional demeanor
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• 2 years of experience in Customer Service and order processing.

J & L Custom Plastic Extrusions, Inc. has provided custom plastic extrusion components to industry since 1976. We manufacture custom thermoplastic extruded profiles, rods and tubes in over 30 engineering, specialty and general purpose plastic materials in any standard or custom colors. We are a growing small independent business with a fast paced work environment. Compensation is dependent on experience.
