Commercial Loan Underwriter

• Work closely with team leaders, team members and customers on the assigned loans to maintain and grow team portfolio.
• Prepare and review commercial loan requests from existing or new customers and make sure loan package are complete and organized.
• Perform in-depth financial and credit analysis for the clients applying for the loan, make recommendations regarding credit decisions, risk ratings, loan pricing, and credit structure pursuant to the bank’s credit policies and procedures, and prepare CA (Credit Approval) and/or memo for management approval.
• Work with loan service department and/or credit administration to order and review appraisal reports, environment reports, field audit report, and due diligent items.
• Order and review loan documents for closing and ensure all documents in line with the approved terms.
• Update financial spreads, conduct covenant tests, and monitor the assigned loans performing as agreed and ensure credit quality being properly risk rated.
• Handle day-to-day loan transactions and activities for the assigned portfolio including construction loans.
• Prepare routine reports for credit related meetings.

• BA/BS degree in Business, Finance or related field or equivalent experiences.
• 3-5 years of directly related experience
• Strong PC skills, excellent credit and analysis skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Extensive knowledge of credit, spread analysis, finance and lending procedures
