DLC, an Addison Group Company, is adding talent to its Los Angeles-based team of Accounting & Finance Consultants! We are currently seeking experienced Accounting & Finance Consultants who want to join a fantastic team of talented Consultants, tasked with supporting our clients in a wide range of interim and project-based Accounting needs. This role provides both variety and stability.
DLC currently serves our clients out of five offices in Atlanta, Chicago, Philadelphia, San Francisco and Southern California. Some of our clients include Sony Pictures, Disney, Amgen, Nestle, Sephora, Tyson, Genentech, Walgreens, Takeda and a multitude of venture capital firms, hedge funds and private equity firms.
Our Consultants have backgrounds in Accounting, FP&A, or a blend of both. As a DLC Consultant, you will provide solutions across a wide variety of industries, companies, and functional disciplines.
Examples of some of the work our consultants do includes:
Financial Planning & Analysis- Preparation of annual operating plans, quarterly re-forecasting, and development of multi-year strategic plans
- Evaluation of marketing and advertising ROI
- Refinement of cost allocation methodologies
- Development of complex forecasting tools, pricing analysis, and cost-to-serve analysis
- Acquisition and divestiture analysis
- Capital expense planning and analysis
- Analysis of product line, channel and customer profitability
- FASB Pronouncement analysis and implementation
- Financial and operational audit coordination and execution
- Consolidated financial statement preparation
- Monthly close process redesign
- Creation, review and documentation of internal control policy and procedures
- Define software requirements, manage software selection process, and serve as liaison between IT and Finance/Accounting functions
- Act as functional lead in implementation of financial systems or product upgrades
- Design and map chart of accounts
- Develop and execute test scripts
- Design financial reports using system or bolt-on reporting tools
- Identify and implement "quick hit" process improvements
- Perform post-implementation troubleshooting
- Develop "as is" process narratives and flow charts
- Implement best practice recommendations
- Align processes with capabilities of new systems
- Ensure processes are compliant with external regulation
- Provide interim financial management when positions are impacted by growth, re-organization, merger, acquisition, or relocation
- Evaluate job description and job content
- Identify and implement productivity opportunities and assess efficiency of workflow
- Develop current and accurate position descriptions
- Train newly hired staff
- Analyze and document project objectives and requirements
- Scope project, identify resource requirements, articulate deliverables and develop timetables
- Create project and communication plans
- Coordinate efforts of internal process owners and subject matter experts
- Develop contingency plans to eliminate obstacles to on-time and on-budget completion of the project
- Distinguished career with 5-20 years of relevant experience and progression
- Big 4 or top 10 CPA and/or an MBA from a top program required
- Experience working finance / accounting at a Fortune 1000 organization
- Strong analytical capabilities
- Go-Getter attitude with a solid attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experienced using ERP systems (Net Suite, SAP, Oracle, etc.)

- Bonus opportunities
Compensation for this position ranges from $110,000 – $165,000 and will vary depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. The compensation may also include incentive compensation in the form of discretionary bonuses.
