Genesis Capital (the “Company”) is one of the largest business purpose lenders in the country, focused on providing commercial real estate financing solutions to real estate developers who buy, renovate, and sell single‑family and/or multi‑family residential real estate. The Company is a subsidiary of Rithm Capital, a publicly traded mortgage real‑estate investment trust.

The Loan Analyst (LA) assists the origination team—primarily the Relationship Associate—to convert a loan application into a funded loan. The LA communicates internally, with third‑party vendors, and with borrowers to support timely loan funding while delivering an excellent customer experience throughout the process.

Essential Functions
  • Manage a high‑volume loan pipeline and ensure loans close as scheduled and in compliance.
  • Ensure third‑party vendor orders are placed and received within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Conduct quality control of transactional documents such as title commitments, purchase contracts, escrow instructions, deeds, and closing statements.
  • Coordinate lien resolution with title and third parties, including city liens, substandard liens, and subordinate liens.
  • Prepare and submit complete loan files for asset underwriting.
  • Collaboration with internal departments—Evaluations, Asset and Construction Underwriting, Docs and Legal—to manage the pipeline.
  • Update the loan processing system with data fields, documents, and notes.
  • Request and review prior‑to‑documentation, prior‑to‑funding, and post‑closing conditions.
  • Release loan documents and coordinate signing with a Notary Public as needed.
  • Demonstrate problem‑solving skills and sound judgment by researching and resolving issues.
  • Input and request title, escrow, insurance, flood certification.
  • Request signature blocks and assist the Relationship Associate in clearing conditions.
  • Create a positive customer experience by communicating Genesis’s needs list and timelines for loans and funding.
  • Maintain pipeline status and funding dates to support regular pipeline management.
  • Assist in maintaining an extensive digital filing system per internal guidelines.
  • Perform other functions and assist with additional projects as assigned.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma (required).
  • 1–2 years of experience in the real‑estate industry preferred.
  • Experience in private money lending, underwriting, or construction finance a plus.
  • Understanding of mortgage underwriting and funding processes.
  • Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to multi‑task.
  • Self‑motivated with a strong desire to succeed.
  • Understanding of the real‑estate or financial services sector.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interface with high‑powered clients and their teams.
  • Team player with a positive attitude.
  • Effective in a fast‑paced, deadline‑oriented environment.
  • Self‑directed with the ability to work with little supervision.
  • Adaptable to a changing, fast‑paced work environment.
