In this role, you will be responsible for handling all duties related to the company's finances, managing daily accounting tasks, establishing and optimizing processes to eliminate unnecessary manual work, and interfacing with our CPA firm as needed.

• Month-End Close & Reporting - Lead the monthly close process, preparing reconciliations, accruals, and financial reports. Delivering timely and accurate reports and variance analyses for leadership review.
• Payables Management - Oversee vendor payments, ensuring records are maintained accurately.
• Cash & Inventory Ownership - Maintain daily cash tracking and short-term cash forecasts. Additionally analyzing and reconciling COGS and ending inventory each month to ensure accuracy.
• Vendor Oversight - Manage relationships with outsourced accounting partners, including compiling internal data for our external CPA firm and managing consulting support for manual data entry tasks.
• Other responsibilities include:
• Payroll and Retirement Savings Administer the company's payroll and retirement savings program via Gusto, ensuring disbursements are accurate and that we are in compliance with labor and tax filings.
• Sales Tax Manage and maintain monthly sales tax requirements.
• Data & Financial Analysis Perform data analysis, financial analysis, or assist with ad hoc projects as it relates to the performance and growth of the company.

• 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance operations
• Experience working in ecommerce or subscription businesses a plus
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration - CPA license a plus, but not required
• 3+ years of experience with GL or ERP systems (Net Suite, SAP, Quickbooks, etc.)
• Demonstrable experience in driving the financial operations of a company
• Good at solving problems, as well as thinking critically and creatively to achieve goals
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, and experience handling and analyzing large datasets
• Dashboard and report creation skills (experience with Looker, Looker Studio, Tableau, Power
  
  BI, or other data visualization tool a plus)
• SQL experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to communicate (written/verbal) in a professional manner while understanding how to communicate effectively knowing who the audience is - Senior leaders, stakeholders, engineering/digital product partners, external vendors, etc.
• Basic HR/payroll knowledge
