GENERAL

PURPOSE:

The Associate Loan Processor is responsible for assisting Account Managers (AMs) in receiving new loan submissions and coordinating the closing of the loan within a specified time frame. The daily functions include, but are not limited to, verifying borrowers’ information, verifying loan rates, and collecting all necessary data.

In this position, you will:
  • Provides support to all channels (Retail and Wholesale) Account Managers.
  • Assists AMs with loan processing, documentation requests, and completion, and gains knowledge of document verification in preparation to fund loans, including initial disclosures.
  • Supports the AM team with ordering and follow-up of documentation from third-party vendors.
  • Track to make sure all conditions are satisfied. Informs AMs of missing documentation and provides follow-up steps.
  • Reviews files with an eye for quality assurance and verification that all pertinent documents are included.
  • Assists AMs with their communication with customers, professionals, managers, AE’s, Underwriters, Funders, and third-party vendors. Holds confidence to communicate the status of activity and elevate issues of concern.
  • This position may involve handling confidential and sensitive information as part of its daily responsibilities. Employees are expected to exercise discretion and protect all sensitive data, including but not limited to personal information, loan details, business and financial records, and proprietary materials.
Requirements Successful candidates will possess:
  • High School diploma or GED; college Degree strongly preferred.
  • Experience in mortgage origination, preferably in the private/hard money space preferred.
  • Non-agency product preferred but not required.
  • Working knowledge and use of MS Office (specifically Outlook, Excel, and Word), imaging system, and the internet.
  • Experience with a Loan Origination System (LOS), e.g., Mortgage Cadence, preferred but not required.
