Jefferson Franklin Community Action Corporation (JFCAC) is seeking an experienced and motivated Associate Director of Finance to join our leadership team.

The Associate Director of Finance will serve as JFCAC's senior internal finance leader
, providing leadership and oversight of the agency's day-to-day fiscal operations. This position reports to the Chief Executive Officer, works closely with our outsourced Chief Financial Officer, and supervises Finance Department staff.
The Associate Director of Finance will play an important role in strengthening JFCAC's financial operations and supporting our programs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide leadership and oversight of daily Finance Department operations
- Supervise, mentor, and support Finance Department staff
- Assist with monthly and year-end financial reporting and closing processes
- Support development and monitoring of agency and program budgets
- Work directly with Program Directors to review budgets, financial performance, and fiscal concerns
- Oversee the financial administration and compliance of federal, state, local, and private grants
- Review financial transactions, reconciliations, journal entries, reimbursement requests, and related fiscal activities
- Assist with cash flow monitoring, financial projections, and analysis
- Help maintain strong internal controls and identify opportunities to improve financial processes
- Coordinate financial documentation and schedules for the annual audit
- Work collaboratively with our outsourced CFO, auditors, funding agencies, leadership team, and Board
- Provide financial information and analysis to support agency decision-making and strategic planning
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- Experience preparing financial statements, budgets, and related financial reports
- Strong knowledge of accounting systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Five or more years of progressively responsible accounting or financial management experience
- Nonprofit accounting experience
- Experience with grant-funded programs
- Supervisory experience
- Knowledge of federal grant requirements, Uniform Guidance, and Community Action Agency funding requirements
- Starting Pay $28.50 per hour ($53,352 gross annual)
- Potential to increase based on education & years of relevant experience
- 4-Day workweek with Fridays off
