Exercise Controller

Overview

Valiant is looking for an Exercise Controller to join our team! The Exercise Controller supports Intelligence Control Cell in the planning, coordination, and execution of major theater-level exercises. The selected candidate will play a critical role in managing adversary and intelligence Operations, Activities, and Actions (OAAs); developing exercise products; and synchronizing all phases of exercise design, preparation, execution, and post-exercise analysis.

• Support planning, coordination, and execution of theater-level exercises.
• Lead and manage adversary and intelligence OAAs during major exercises.
• Coordinate exercise design, planning, preparation, execution, and assessment with joint, combined, and bilateral partners.
• Develop and maintain order of battle, supporting databases, scenarios, MSELs, and training materials.
• Participate in planning conferences, seminars, workshops, and training events.
• Conduct post-exercise analysis and present findings, trends, and lessons learned.
• Other duties as assigned.

Active Secret Clearance

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two (2) years of experience in modeling and simulation for theater-level command post exercises.

• 5+ years’ experience planning, designing, and replicating adversary and intelligence events in simulation-driven, MSEL-supported exercises.
• Demonstrated experience developing order of battle products, databases, scenarios, and MSELs for joint, combined, and bilateral training events.
• Skilled in leading group training, seminars, and instructional sessions.
• Proven ability to conduct post-exercise analysis and produce high-quality lessons‑learned reports.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work in high‑pressure, fast‑paced environments while managing multiple competing requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift and transport up to 50 lbs. of equipment or documentation.
• Ability to travel independently to OCONUS and CONUS locations.
• Ability to obtain and maintain SOFA status during exercises in Korea.
• Must possess or be eligible to obtain a valid U.S. passport.

Physical requirements may include, but are not limited to, lifting, ascending, and descending stairs, climbing, extended sitting or standing, to various degrees. This job will primarily be in an Office Setting.
