Under the direction and supervision of the Environmental Office Chief, the Senior Environmental Planner coordinates management level interaction with the project development team (PDT) and other stakeholders on matters pertaining to project development and compliance with environmental laws, regulations, and policies for the Last Chance Grade (LCG) project. The incumbent ensures proactive, consistent approaches to requirements, submittals, and coordination; capable of independent judgment and comprehensive input;

provide dedicated, constant attention to LCG project delivery issues, and allow for prompt, well‑informed responses when issues arise. In this capacity, the incumbent facilitates partnerships with state and federal resource agencies, external stakeholders, coordinates environmental project deliverables, and promotes efforts to streamline the environmental process. The incumbent also helps in the development of project mitigation opportunities and assists with contract management and oversight of consultant‑prepared documents.
