The City of Moorpark was incorporated in 1983 as a general law city and operates under the Council-Manager form of government. The Code Compliance Technician II will investigate and enforce the City s municipal, zoning, and building codes; develop case files and issue citations; and provide building and safety inspections and code enforcement of City-owned property. This position is not overtime exempt. The City has the discretion to make occasional adjustments of the work week, work day, or hours for this position to serve the interest of the City s operation and mission.

This position is the full journey level class within the Code Compliance Technician series and receives general supervision from the Community Development Director, Deputy Community Development Director, division manager, or designated lead worker. Employees within this class perform the full range of duties as assigned, including issuing citations. Employees at this level receive only occasional instruction or assistance as new or unusual situations arise and are fully aware of the operating procedures and policies of the work unit.
