The Dallas County R-I School District is seeking a Speech/Language Pathologist or Speech Language Pathologist Assistant. The applicant must hold a valid license from the State Board of Healing Art and also be certified through DESE. The candidate may work with a range of students from Early Childhood through grade 12. Students may have a variety of needs and services. Experience in working with children with special needs is preferred but not required.
Salary will be commensurate with experience and education.
- Provide support to the instructional process with students focusing on achievement by developing appropriate communication skills.
- Supervise students within the classroom and other assigned areas
- Develop lesson/therapy plans
- Deliver group and individual instruction/therapy within established guidelines
- Collaborate with other teachers, other professional staff, and administrators in addressing instructional and/or classroom issues
- Respond to a wide range of inquiries from students' parents or guardians regarding communication, assessment information and student progress
- Administer and score speech and language assessments to determine eligibility for special education services
- Complete paperwork and attend meetings that are related to the special education process

Qualifications- Licensure:
