Under the direction of the Director Scientific and Clinical Education, the Scientific Liaison will provide scientific support for new diagnostic tests and educate the market on their utility. This role focuses on laboratorians, Pharmacy, Infectious Disease, and Emergency department audiences, and supports Market Development efforts, KOL collaboration, and scientific study support.

• Develop and facilitate relationships with the medical and scientific community, communicating product-related information aligned with Diasorin’s practices
• Partner with key clinicians to drive scientific and clinical education for new product launches
• Develop KOLs to support guideline development within hospitals to drive adoption of new technology
• Stay current on research developments and medical treatment concepts; provide perspective to field activities supporting existing products and bringing new products to market
• Educate and demonstrate the benefits of key products to scientific and clinical customers; coordinate continuing education workshops, seminars, and training programs
• Analyze data and interpret complex clinical and non-clinical reports to derive key outcomes and messages
• Translate scientific and technical issues for diverse audiences
• Attend scientific congresses; develop understanding of clinical practices and regulations; investigate and report on competitor technologies and products
• Handle diverse and complex issues requiring in-depth evaluation
• Exercise judgement in evaluating methods and defining criteria for solutions
• Network with senior internal and external personnel; knowledge of diagnostic laboratory techniques and ability to interpret data and develop publications
• Excellent oral and written communication, including presentations and teaching
• Demonstrated knowledge of Infectious Disease and/or Serology testing
• Ability to understand technical research protocols and multitask under pressure
• Strong time management, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize daily workload
• Follow all procedures, rules, and regulations; maintain confidentiality
• Other duties as assigned

• Ph.D. or Pharm
  
  D or Advanced Nursing degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in infectious disease and/or IVD
• Experience working with business leaders, clinicians, and regulatory authorities
• Experience with FDA, CLIA, ISO, and other quality and regulatory requirements
• Experience in IVD preferred
• Excellent public speaking and ability to deliver concise technical presentations
• History of presenting scientific data at conferences, symposiums, and society meetings
• Comfortable communicating via webinars, conference calls, or video conferences
• Strategic thinking to analyze customer trends and develop programs addressing stakeholder needs
• Ability to synthesize information from scientific literature and communicate in scientific and lay terms
• Open to life sciences and medical device backgrounds

• 60% travel, willing to perform overnight travel
