Job OverviewPerforms specialized MRI procedures on patients, resulting in diagnostic images for interpretation by a radiologist. Also provides patient care essential to these procedures. Applies principles of MR safety. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
Qualifications- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist or MRI Technologist program, with completion of required clinical hours.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience or recent graduate of a bachelor's degree program.
- ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification required.
- Must hold at least one advanced registry in MRI and be actively working in the modality.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Proficient in IV insertion.
- Strong technical skills in medical imaging, including cross-sectional anatomy and 3D imaging.
- Ability to operate MRI scanners, power injectors, imaging workstations, and related computer systems.
