Progress West Hospital is BJC Health Care’s newest hospital in St. Charles County, featuring modern private rooms and 24‑hour emergency services. It partners with St. Louis Children’s Hospital for world‑class pediatric emergency care and offers surgical, endoscopy, cardiac catheterization, medical/surgical inpatient, diagnostic imaging, lab services, and an Advanced Wound Center.

Performs surgical duties for operating room procedures under the direct supervision of a registered nurse.

• Prepares operating room for surgical patient, reviews preference cards to determine surgeon needs, obtains the necessary supplies and equipment, ensures cleanliness of room, and assists with opening sterile supplies.
• Performs surgical scrub duties, and assists with the collection, identification, and disposition of cultures and specimens.
• Assists in turning over the room, and ensures supplies, instruments, and equipment are returned to proper location.

• Education: High School Diploma or GED
• Experience: No experience required
• Preferred Education: Accredited Surgical Program
