Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to lead our efforts in maintaining a safe and compliant workplace. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in environmental health and safety regulations, particularly within the manufacturing and construction industries. This role is critical in ensuring that our operations adhere to all applicable regulations while fostering a culture of safety and health among all employees.
This role is onsite and requires travel to manufacturing and installation sites on a regular basis.
- Develop, implement, and lead EHS programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Provide training and development for employees on safety practices, emergency response, first aid, CPR, and occupational health.
- Prepare detailed reports on safety incidents, root cause analyses, and compliance metrics for management review.
- Collaborate with various departments to promote a proactive approach to workplace safety.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulations to ensure full compliance and training.
- Act as the primary point of contact for EHS-related inquiries from employees, management, and regulatory agencies.
- Maintain all safety records and recordkeeping systems.
- Travels to installation sites to ensure safety training and safety protocols are followed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in an EHS role within the manufacturing and construction industries.
- Strong understanding of OSHA standards and environmental regulations.
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Proven leadership capability and ability to work collaboratively across all levels of an organization.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable.
- Experience in training & development related to EHS topics.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in root cause analysis methodologies.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments while maintaining a strong commitment to safety initiatives.
- Ability to travel on a regular basis.
