Diagnostic Radiology Technologist Northeast Regional Float- Evenings

Job Summary

We are opening an X-ray Technologist I position and will consider applicants for higher levels based on skills and experience. We offer a $20,000 sign‑on bonus and a $6/hr premium on top of base pay.

Location:

Northeast Region – Wilkes‑Barre and surrounding areas.

• Ensure correct order is obtained, patient is properly identified and prepared for exam, and that clinical history is corroborated and documented while respecting confidentiality.
• Utilize appropriate imaging protocol and optimize technical factors while maximizing patient safety and applying ALARA principles.
• Prepare and/or administer medications through new or existing vascular access site as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
• Evaluate images for proper positioning and acceptable technical quality; verify archival storage and/or transfer of data and post‑processing if applicable.
• Educate and monitor students and other health care providers.
• Assist the licensed practitioner with fluoroscopic and specialized radiologic procedures.
• Perform diagnostic radiographic and non‑interpretive fluoroscopic procedures as prescribed by a licensed practitioner, including those performed outside the Radiology Department (e.g., operating room, endoscopy, ICU).

• New graduates must obtain ARRT‑R registry within 6 months of hire.
• Applicants hired after March 10, 2024, must complete steps required for advancing to level 2 within 24 months.

Graduate from Specialty Training Program‑Radiologic Technology (Required);
Bachelor’s Degree‑Related Field of Study (Preferred).

Minimum of 1 year related work experience (Preferred).

Radiography (R) – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT);
Basic Life Support Certification – Default Issuing Body.
