Program Coordinator – Radiation Oncology
Key Functions
- Provide support for Radiation Oncology Department, Radiation Oncology Services (physician group), and serve as administrative assistant to Medical Director.
- Interact with radiation oncologists, physicists, physician assistants, nurses, dosimetrists, radiation therapists, residents, and ancillary staff to promote the goals and objectives of the program.
- Process badging paperwork.
- Enter print requests to Document Center.
- Meeting coordination – workshops, conferences, department meetings and celebrations.
- Maintain Radiation Oncology Services’ credentialing files.
- Facilitate credentialing and recredentialing for Radiation Oncology Services.
- Initiate and coordinate Radiation Oncology Services activities including accurate completion of requirements for accreditation: renew licenses (LSBME, DEA, CDS).
- Maintain Radiation Oncology Services’ calendar.
- Coordinate shadow opportunities for clinical students, faculty, students, volunteers.
- Coordinate marketing for group practice.
- Submit service requests:
Information Technology, Facilities/Maintenance, Marketing.
- Provide support for Radiation Oncology Services’ physicians within the department of Radiation Oncology.
- Work closely with Cancer Center Director and handle special projects as assigned.
- Support interactions among staff and clinicians to promote program goals.
- Process badging paperwork.
- Enter and track print requests to Document Center.
- Coordinate meetings and events including workshops and department gatherings.
- Maintain credentialing files and facilitate credentialing/recredentialing.
- Coordinate activities to meet accreditation requirements and renewals (licenses: LSBME, DEA, CDS).
- Maintain calendar and coordinate shadow opportunities for learners and volunteers.
- Coordinate marketing for group practice.
- Arrange conferences and site visits including scheduling and logistics for rotators, fellows, and visitors.
- Provide day-to-day administrative support and calendar/meeting coordination.
- Coordinate professional conference registrations, travel, itineraries, and expense reporting.
- Maintain and update CVs;
Pub Med research; track CME activity (CE Broker). - Renew professional memberships (A , ABS, ACRO, ASTRO, ACR) and monitor MOC requirements.
- Process WK reappointments and collaborate with WK accounting and Radiation Oncology Services’ staff.
- Coordinate proton site visits and educational conferences/workshops for global and local visitors.
