Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Radiology Director and Manager produces quality diagnostic medical radiographs to ensure proper diagnosis and quality patient care.
Job Responsibilities and Requirements:
POSITION
ACCOUNTABILITIES AND PERFORMANCE CRITERIA (% of time)
Essential Functions:
The Following are essential job accountabilities and performance criteria:1) Demonstrates the skills to produce quality radiographs. (1, 2, 3, 4, 5,

Criteria
A) Produces quality images by using appropriate positioning and exposuretechniqueto ensure proper penetration of the area being radiographed.
B) Demonstrates the proper use of metal markers/ stickers and or placement of markers electronically.
C) Performs the QC/QA for mammography following the MQSA guidelines.
D) Scans inpreviousfilms for comparison.
E) Communicates technical information in a manner appropriate for the intended person (patient, co-worker etc.).
F) Responds to changes in the workload using time to departmental advantage.
G) Inputs patient information and history into the MRS system accurately.
H) Mails the exam result letters and appointment remind lettersin a timely manner.
I) Ensures orders are in Epic for procedures.
J) Able to trouble-shoot problems with equipment.
K) Schedules patients as needed.
L) Demonstrate ability to relate to coworkers in a professional and respectful manner,in order toassure and promote a culture of safety.

Criteria
A) Maintains work area in a clean and orderly condition.
B) Adheres to hospital safety and infection control policies.
C) Reports faulty equipment to appropriate persons.
D) Uses protective equipment as needed.
E) Practice Radiation Safety for patients, self, and co-workers.
F) Wearradiationdosimetry badge daily.
3) Attends departmental in-services and meetings as instructed by Manager. (1, 2, 3,

Criteria
A) Attends appropriate orientations.
B) Attends required in-services.
C) Attends departmental meetings or reads the meeting minutes that issendthrough the MOX system in Meditech.
D) Reviews education poster boardslocatedin the department.

Criteria
A) Obtains 24 CE points every 2 years per ASRT regulations.
B) Maintains a good standing rating with the ASRT.
C) Obtains 15 CE points every three years and performs 100 mammogram per year following the MQSA guidelines.
