The Environmental Services Technician is responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and sanitation tasks throughout the healthcare facility to ensure compliance with infection control standards and regulatory requirements. This position plays a critical role in promoting a healthy and hygienic environment conducive to patient healing and well‑being.
ResponsibilitiesThe Environmental Services Technician maintains a clean and safe environment by carrying out cleaning, sanitization, and infection‑control procedures throughout the health‑care facility. Duties include sweeping, mopping, disinfecting surfaces, emptying trash, and handling hazardous materials according to established protocols.
Qualifications- Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Prior Hospital Environmental service experience. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Experience performing manual tasks and working with the public; customer‑service oriented.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to push, pull, and/or lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
