Medical Technician

As a Medical Technician, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our patients receive top-notch care. Your responsibilities will include a mix of administrative and clinical tasks, such as:

• Patient Interaction:
• Answering patient and partner calls.
• Rooming patients and conducting pre-visit assessments.
• Verifying patient medical history and medication lists.
• Administrative Tasks:
• Routing digital files to patient charts.
• Processing medication refills.
• Initiating and completing pre-certifications and prior authorizations.
• Clinical Support:
• Accurately recording vitals.
• Assisting or performing procedures, including but not limited to:
• • Lesion, cyst, and skin tag removal.
  • Vasectomy and toenail removal.
  • Arthrocentesis injections, PFT, and EKG.
  • Administering pregnancy tests, flu tests, strep tests, and more.
• Drawing blood samples and administering vaccines/injections.
• Recording all procedures and administrations in patient files.
• Team Support:
• Assisting providers with various tasks as assigned.
• Helping maintain accurate inventory of medical supplies.

To excel in this role, you’ll need:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a medical or clinical setting.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes.
• Physical capability to perform tasks such as standing, walking, lifting, bending, and assisting patients with mobility barriers.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and team members.
• A proactive approach to responding to emergent situations.

This is a hands-on role that requires physical activity, including standing or walking most of the time, bending, stooping, kneeling, and lifting supplies. You’ll also need to perform repetitive duties and adapt to a dynamic work environment.
