Embassy Suites Dorado del Mar Beach Resort is looking for a Cook to join their team.
The resort features a private beachfront on Puerto Rico's northern coast, looking out over the Atlantic Ocean. It is 10 minutes away from Manuel Morales Beach and 21 miles from central San Juan. Relax in our outdoor lagoon-style pool with ocean views and join us for made‑to‑order breakfast and complimentary evening receptions.
Ideal Candidate- At least 1 year of Cook experience.
- Culinary Degree.
- Ability to speak and understand Spanish and English.
Full availability – rotating shifts throughout the week, including weekends and holidays.
Pay Rate$11.50 per hour.
Responsibilities- Prepare and present high‑quality dishes within company guidelines.
- Keep all working areas clean and tidy and ensure no cross‑contamination.
- Prepare all mis‑en‑place for all relevant menus.
- Assist other departments where necessary and maintain good working relationships.
- Report maintenance, hygiene and hazard issues.
Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health, safety and food safety aware of departmental targets and strive to achieve them as part of the environmentally aware.
- NVQ Level 1 (required).
- Positive attitude.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to work independently or in teams.
- NVQ Level 2.
- Previous kitchen experience in a similar role.
- Basic food hygiene.
