Coda Search is partnering with a cutting‑edge entertainment firm in LA that is growing rapidly. As they continue to grow, they’re looking to hire a Senior Payroll Specialist to support their U.S. and global payroll operations. This role will play a critical part in ensuring accurate payroll processing, compliance, and supporting key cross‑functional initiatives. You’d be working closely with internal teams and gaining exposure to a dynamic, high‑performing organization at the intersection of tech and finance.

pay range

$80,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr

Key Responsibilities
  • Spearhead the bi‑weekly payroll process for a diverse workforce, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution.
  • Leverage advanced payroll systems such as Workday to manage payroll functions, handle deductions, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Conduct thorough audits to verify payroll accuracy and promptly address any discrepancies.
  • Manage employee timesheets, handle special requests, and ensure adherence to company policies and labor laws.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company guidelines, making necessary adjustments.
  • Collaborate closely with the HR team to manage compliance issues, optimize 401K contributions, and oversee other payroll‑related benefits.
  • Provide exceptional support to employees regarding payroll inquiries and issues, fostering a positive workplace environment.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement innovative workflows to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is required.
  • 3+ years of multi‑state payroll experience.
  • Hands‑on experience with Workday.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
