Location: California

Job Description:The Human Resource Generalist will be responsible for various HR duties including recruitment, employee relations, benefits, compensation, legal compliance, and training and development. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong organization, prioritization, and time management skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Solid problem-solving and team management abilities.
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge:

  • In-depth knowledge of recruitment and talent acquisition strategies.
  • Understanding of employee benefits and compensation management.
  • Familiarity with performance management and employee development programs.
  • Awareness of labor laws and regulations applicable to the AV industry.
  • Knowledge of HR metrics and data analysis to support decision-making.
  • Responsibilities:

  • Develop job descriptions and job postings.
  • Source candidates through various channels (job boards, social media, networking, etc.).
  • Screen resumes and conduct initial interviews.
  • Creating, implementing, and evaluating all human resource department policies, procedures, and structures.
  • Administer employee benefits programs
  • Designing and implementing effective training and development plans.
  • Performing probationary, anniversary, and annual employee performance reviews.
  • Ensuring all employee records are maintained and updated with new hire information or changes in employment status.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Stay updated on changes to employment laws and regulations.
  • Responding to employees’ queries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures that align with the company’s goals and comply with labor laws.
  • Perform payroll functions and audits
  • Handle labor compliance such as creation of Certified Payroll, Apprentice Compliance, and third-party compliance.
