JOB SUMMARY

The Information Technology Manager is responsible for the overall planning, organizing, and execution of all IT functions for the company. This includes directing all IT operations to meet customer requirements as well as support and maintenance of existing applications and development of new technical solutions. The information technology manager requires an individual who has vast knowledge of computers, systems and networking.

This individual must also possess the ability to effectively lead a team in order to ensure that computer systems and networks run efficiently and handle all day‑to‑day activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Proficiency with various hardware platforms and operating systems such as Windows, Android, iOS.
  • Proficiency with systems and PC software such as MS Office, Windows and associated applications, MS Outlook, anti‑virus programs, Adobe, and others.
  • Analyzes complex business needs presented by the user community and/or clients and recommends technical solutions.
  • Ensures the security of the organization’s network and electronic documents and devices.
  • Ensures the consistency and maintainability of existing applications by creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards/procedures for implementing technical solutions.
  • Participates on all hardware and software evaluations and maintains vendor contracts.
  • Learn about new technology and look for ways to upgrade the computer systems.
  • Perform liaison duties between users, operations, and programming personnel in the areas of systems design, modifications or trouble‑shooting.
  • Determines short‑ and long‑term personnel needs for their department.
  • Has a direct role in hiring members of the IT department.
  • Implements all policies developed by IT supervisors and IT leadership.
  • Directs and prioritizes the workload of subordinate personnel; ensures the availability of data and network services by coordinating IT personnel activities.
  • Coaches, counsels, disciplines, and mentors IT personnel.
  • Oversees the financial aspects of the IT department as necessary.
  • Keeps up to date on IT security measures and may lead investigations if there is a security violation; attends workshops, conferences, ongoing training, seminars and other events to stay abreast of new information technology and applies it to the IT department.
  • Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at any given time.
  • Technical capability in Window Desktop & Server Administration.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field;
    Master’s degree in a relevant field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of experience within information technology.
  • Experience in the most current technologies and products used in the industry.

  • WORKING CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL DEMANDS
    • Work is typically performed in an office environment, as well as settings throughout the system and surrounding communities. Independent travel is required.
    • Consistently communicates and converses with leadership, employees and clients to exchange accurate information.
    • Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
    • Must be able to balance the mental stress that comes from staying organized, handling serious issues and minimizing downtime.
    • Will work indoors in a climate‑controlled office environment and in network areas that must be kept at certain temperature and humidity levels.
    • Required to work on the floor, move office furniture (heavy), and will spend hours using hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms to install new computer systems.
    • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer in order to enter, transcribe, record, store or maintain information in written or electronic forms to track records and generate reports or to conduct analysis.
    • Occasionally required to travel by various methods including air, rail, or to operate a motor vehicle in order to attend business meetings.
