Location: New Home

We are looking for a Sr. Security Engineer to join World Wide Technology.

Full-time direct hire position. Candidates must have an active Secret Security Clearance or higher. The role requires full US citizenship. No visa sponsorship, no 1099, no C2C.

What you will be doing

As a Sr. Security Engineer, you will support a client’s Squirrel Defender implementation. This includes building continuous security control vulnerability monitoring and remediation processes. You will work with security, networking, and systems teams to ensure required controls, configurations, and compliance. Mentoring junior engineers and cross-team collaboration are part of the role.

Responsibilities
  • Implement and configure Squirrel Defender across multiple network environments.
  • Customize and integrate the tool with existing infrastructure and security policies.
  • Establish and maintain automated scanning.
  • Analyze findings and prioritize vulnerabilities.
  • Coordinate vulnerability planning and remediation.
  • Configure near real-time monitoring and detection.
  • Implement network traffic analysis and endpoint security.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD regulations, NIST SP 800-53, FISMA, and NETCOM internal policies.
  • Document solutions, workflows, processes, and standard procedures.
  • Create dashboards and visualization tools.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 14+ years of experience in security engineering.
  • DOE 8140 (IAT III) certifications.
  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • Proven ability to work independently from home.

Compensation

Base salary $121,000 – $140,000 annually, plus potential variable incentive compensation.
