Overview

ACCOUNT DIRECTOR - Global Website Operations

We are looking for an Account Director to oversee SEO, GEO, and website content operations for a major global brand. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for the brand’s website team and manage end‑to‑end delivery across multiple markets. You will plan team capacity, coordinate workflows, lead client and internal discussions, and ensure high‑quality and timely execution across all website initiatives.

You will also be responsible for identifying growth opportunities within the account, supporting strategic development, and mentoring junior team members as they grow in their roles. What you’ll do

  • Lead daily and weekly planning, including capacity allocation and workflow coordination
  • Oversee SEO, GEO and website content creation from briefing to delivery
  • Lead internal and external calls, provide updates, and escrow blockers when needed
  • Coordinate reporting deliverables and ensure data accuracy
  • Build and maintain the website backlog and oversee roadmap delivery
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, supporting their professional development
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including creative, digital strategy, SEO, CRM, and technical website teams
  • Work closely with global and regional clients, ensuring alignment and strong stakeholder engagement
  • Identify new opportunities to expand the scope of work and grow client accounts

What we are looking for

  • 5+ years of experience managing website or digital projects for global or multi‑market brands
  • Proven ability to plan, execute, and deliver website projects end‑to‑end, on time and within scope
  • Solid understanding of SEO best practices, CMS workflows, and website analytics tools (Google Analytics, Search Console)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, able to confidently represent status and highlight risks
  • Experience coordinating or leading small teams or cross‑functional contributors (design, development, content)
  • Fluent English skills
  • Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong documentation and presentation abilities
  • Comfortable working in fast‑paced, evolving environments

Nice to have

  • Experience working with global localization clients
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (Jira, Asana, Trello)
  • Basic understanding of HTML/CSS or website performance optimization
  • Experience collaborating with external agencies or vendors
  • Prior involvement in website discovery or replatforming projects
