The County of Riverside's Agency Education/Information Services Division at Riverside University Health System Medical Center seeks a Computer Based Training Officer to join our team in Moreno Valley. This position will be responsible for planning, designing, developing, and authoring computer‑based training programs along with web‑based trainings and videos, and providing support to staff in computer‑based training usage.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with file transfer programs and SCORM file programs
- Experience creating and managing online learning modules
- Experience with Adobe Captivate
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud Suite
- Basic Graphic Design skills and knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Suite, etc.
- Experience with Power Point
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Experience with Moodle, Health Stream or other Learning Management Systems
- Experience and technical knowledge in videography/photography, including filming and video content creation
- Familiarity with camera operation, lighting, and video editing is very beneficial for multimedia projects
Monday through Thursday – Day Shift – 4/10 – 6:30 am to 5:00 pm (Remote work is not an option).
Examples Of Essential Duties- Administer Learning Management Systems (LMS)
- Manage user accounts, organize and update content, track progress of current education modules
- Develop and maintain eLearning modules using Adobe Captivate (Classic and current versions), PowerPoint, and iSpring Learning tools
- Ensure course materials are consistent, intuitive, and aligned with instructional guidelines
- Demonstrate familiarity with cPanel for content/server administration
- Navigate and troubleshoot within a Windows OS environment
- Adapt to an ever‑changing environment, handle multiple projects and strict deadlines efficiently
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with internal teams, stakeholders, and external vendors
- Provide excellent customer support, including prompt issue resolution and technical assistance
- Maintain a systematic approach to course deployment, updates, and user inquiries
- Work closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and departmental leaders to ensure training accuracy, relevance, and best practices
- Generate accurate reports on training progress and metrics, present data and findings to stakeholders
- Videography (Preferred):
Experience in videography, including filming and video content creation; familiarity with camera operation, lighting, and video editing
- Plan, develop, and coordinate Computer Based Training programs and other computer‑related training needs using LMS software and content development software
- Consult with supervisory and management staff to interpret subject matter and develop course content
- Edit and modify program materials according to legislative changes; create appropriate graphics
- Receive, log, and route user calls for assistance or repair; monitor trouble call/resolution information; report aged calls
- Inform and train users in web browser and software operation; analyze and recommend on training design, user support needs, or customer satisfaction
- Prepare training, support, technical documentation, and procedures for educational and staff development
- Manage and support Learning Management Systems environments such as Moodle, Health Stream, Sakai, EdApp, etc.
- Troubleshoot LMS issues; resolve desktop communication problems and remote system connections; troubleshoot software, web browser errors, and account management issues
- Front‑End web development: design and use graphics and multimedia elements in web page design; evaluate usability of assigned sites
- Maintain site integrity: update content, relevant links, system changes
- Develop quality and content standards based on industry standards, management preferences, and available resources
