Position Summary

The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for architecting, designing, and optimizing enterprise network infrastructures, including Local Area Networks (LANs), Wide Area Networks (WANs), Internet and intranet environments, cloud-based virtual networks, Software-Defined Networking (SDN), and EV Car Network ecosystems, along with other advanced data communication systems. Operating as a key member of a high-performing network engineering team, the Senior Network Engineer participates in technical work groups, provides expert guidance, and leads the resolution of complex and high-risk issues.

This role involves conducting comprehensive research, analysis, design, implementation, and continuous optimization of network infrastructure to support both current and future business requirements. This position reports directly to the Network Manager. The ideal candidate is proactive, adaptable, and demonstrates a strong “can-do” attitude. They should have a proven ability to learn quickly, excel in a fast-paced and rapidly evolving environment, and manage multiple priorities while consistently delivering high-quality results.

Responsibilities
  • Support the development, refinement, and enforcement of industrial and EV network standards across the organization.
  • Collaborate closely with Network Manager to design, implement, and optimize highly functional enterprise and EV ecosystem networks.
  • Architect, design, and deploy advanced network solutions, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, SDN, cloud networks, and EV car communication networks.
  • Configure, install, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, wireless controllers, and other critical network devices.
  • Continuously monitor network performance, availability, and reliability, ensuring adherence to established SLAs.
  • Conduct comprehensive security assessments in collaboration with the Security Team and deliver recommendations across LAN, WLAN, WAN, DMZ, Internet, remote access, disaster recovery, and directory services.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve advanced network issues escalated from local IT and infrastructure teams.
  • Automate routine tasks and operational workflows using Ansible, Python, and other automation frameworks, ensuring efficiency and standardization.
  • Develop, test, and oversee the implementation of security measures, patches, and network enhancements.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation, technical reports, diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to enhance network capacity, performance, scalability, and resiliency.
  • Utilize automation for firewall policy management and network configuration compliance.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in networking and cybersecurity.
  • Ensure system uptime, redundancy, and backup readiness for all network-related infrastructure.
  • Support the Network Security team with investigations, audits, and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain exceptional customer satisfaction by delivering consistent, high-quality support and fostering effective communication across cross‑functional teams.
