We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Senior IT Technician to support and enhance the operation, security, and reliability of our organization’s IT systems and infrastructure. This role provides advanced technical support, administers core systems, and helps lead continuous improvement efforts across the IT environment. Acting as a critical liaison between the frontline IT support team and the IT Manager, this position ensures effective system operations, service availability, and cybersecurity compliance.

Responsibilities
  • IT Operations & Support
    • Serve as Tier 2/3 technical support, managing escalated tickets from a managed service provider (MSP), resolving complex IT issues, and providing day-to-day technical assistance across the organization.
    • Deliver white-glove Executive Support, ensuring rapid response and minimal disruption for high-priority users.
    • Manage, maintain, and upgrade endpoint hardware, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals across macOS, Windows OS, and iOS platforms.
    • Provide advanced support for conference room systems, including Zoom Rooms and presentation software, with responsibility for running All Hands meetings and ensuring reliable, high-quality technical execution.
  • Network & Infrastructure
    • Monitor and administer network environments including Unifi firewalls, switches, and wireless access points.
    • Support the installation, configuration, and updates of network and server hardware/software.
    • Work closely with the IT Manager to ensure data integrity, uptime, and secure network operations.
  • Systems Administration
    • Administer user access, group policies, and configurations across identity platforms like Jump Cloud and AWS.
    • Monitor, deliver, and implement patch management processes for applications and infrastructure.
    • Manage configuration and access permissions across applications and systems.
    • Support and maintain Microsoft 365 environment including user onboarding/o onboarding and license management.
    • Ensure system configurations are documented and align with internal policies and compliance standards such as CCPA and GDPR.
    • Maintain up-to-date IT documentation, including SOPs, configurations, and asset records.
    • Act as a technical project engineer on infrastructure initiatives, cloud migrations, and software deployments.
    • Collaborate on cross-functional IT projects involving business systems such as AWS, Snowflake, Shopify, Salesforce, Zendesk, and Acumatica.
    • Contribute to process improvements, tool evaluations, and the execution of new technology rollouts.
Experience & Skills
  • 5+ years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or related infrastructure roles.
  • Proven track record in network and systems administration, endpoint management, and patch/update cycles.
  • Experience supporting cloud-based and SaaS environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware issues, software applications, and connectivity challenges.
  • Familiarity with managing executive-level support with urgency and discretion.
  • Proficient in macOS, Windows, and iOS administration and support in enterprise environments.
  • Proficiency in SaaS tools like Jump Cloud, Service Now, Asana, Shopify, and Bynder. Proficiency in security tools like Datto EDR, Rocket Cyber, Obsidian, and Perception Point.
  • Proficiency in software tools like MS365 suite, Zoom, Slack, and Adobe Suite.
  • Solid organizational skills; able to balance competing priorities and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
