Position: AUDIO VISUAL TECHNICIAN (ON CALL)
Location: Chesterfield

AUDIO VISUAL TECHNICIAN (ON CALL)

Location:

Pfizer - 875 Chesterfield Parkway West, Chesterfield, MO 63017 (online applications only).

Schedule:

On call; hours and days may vary. Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Ensures all audio visual requirements requested by clients are met, interfaces with various AV, communication, and presentation technologies, and maintains positive customer relationships.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Reviews customer and meeting planner requests from the reservation system and provides equipment and assistance at required times and places.
  • Gathers information from email and phone communications and distributes it to the assigned contact.
  • Provides problem escalation support and issue resolution, following up on service challenges and working with the manager for corrective action.
  • Provides technical assistance for all meetings and events that require tech services.
  • Follows SOPs for audio‑visual support as provided by the AV Manager and Director of Technology and Operations.
  • Performs weekly preventative maintenance room sweeps and reports sweep information through the database.
  • Changes data projectors, lamps, and cabling pieces for integrated systems throughout the portfolio.
  • Reviews equipment operation with customers and ensures their comfort with usage.
  • Assists with operation of equipment and solves problems when customers are unsure of requirements.
  • Educates staff and customers on basics of all AV equipment in the facility.
  • Maintains metrics for room equipment inventory and repairs/replacements in conference rooms.
  • Communicates with co‑workers and service partners to share updated information.
  • Assists with conference room set‑ups, break‑downs, and other areas where assistance is needed.
  • Keeps A/V storerooms organized and well managed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of one year supporting audio‑visual for events (2–3 years of experience required).
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of office technology/equipment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
