We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the Mx AI/ML team, driving the design and deployment of next‑generation AI product solutions that power our merchant experiences.
This is a highly cross‑functional leadership role — you’ll collaborate with product, design, operations, and data science teams to define the AI roadmap, guide technical direction, and deliver end‑to‑end AI/ML solutions at massive scale.

- Mentor and develop engineers, shaping the next generation of applied AI leadership at Door Dash.

We're excited about you because you have…- 7+ years of industry experience in machine learning and AI engineering, including 2+ years of leadership experience managing applied scientists and ML engineers.
- A proven track record of building and deploying AI/ML systems at scale, with shipped AI‑powered products that have reached millions of users.
- Broad knowledge of machine learning and technical depth in one or more areas: computer vision, natural language processing, generative models, or large‑scale agent systems.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to partner effectively with cross‑functional stakeholders.
- A demonstrated ability to define clear roadmaps and execution plans to deliver team success.
- A passion for building teams, mentoring talent, and cultivating an inclusive, high‑impact culture.
- Experience at the intersection of product and engineering
, using AI to solve real customer problems.
The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job‑related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market‑dependent and may be modified in the future.
