As a Network Technician II specializing in Audio/Visual support within the Department of Information Technology’s Technology Management Division, you will ensure reliable, high-quality audio, video, and conferencing experiences across County departments. You will support and operate A/V systems for meetings and events, including Board of Supervisors’ sessions and other high‑profile functions, while collaborating with IT staff and department representatives to deliver seamless service.

What you will typically be responsible for:
  • Setting up, operating, and maintaining audio, video, lighting, and streaming systems for meetings, presentations, and events—including Board of Supervisors’ meetings and other high‑profile functions.
  • Providing live, on‑site, and remote technical support during public meetings, ensuring smooth broadcasts and recordings.
  • Supporting hybrid and virtual meetings using platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or Webex, integrating them with in‑room A/V systems.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving A/V equipment and software issues quickly and effectively.
  • Collaborating with IT staff to ensure A/V systems work seamlessly with the county’s network infrastructure.
  • Training end users and department staff on proper use of A/V and conferencing technology.
  • Managing and maintaining A/V inventory, scheduling preventative maintenance, and keeping accurate service records.
  • Assisting in system upgrades, installations, and technology improvements to enhance meeting and presentation capabilities.
