Utility Trailer Manufacturing Company, LLC (UTMC) is a family-owned business with a 111-year legacy of innovation and leadership in the transportation industry. As the long-standing market leader in refrigerated semi-trailers and the fourth-largest semi-trailer manufacturer in North America, UTMC operates six manufacturing facilities—five across the United States and one in Mexico.
In 2023, UTMC formed a joint venture with Schmitz Cargobull, Europe’s leading trailer manufacturer, to form Cargobull North America (CBNA). This joint venture introduced advanced transport refrigeration units (TRUs) and telematics solutions to the North American market. CBNA is the exclusive supplier of these technologies to UTMC, combining European engineering with North American manufacturing excellence
We are seeking a knowledgeable and driven Product Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the subject matter expert on refrigerated trailer products and TRU systems. You’ll work closely with internal teams, dealers, and customers to ensure our products meet market demands and deliver exceptional value.
The Product Specialist is preferred to be based in the Alpharetta, GA office or at the Corporate Office (located in City of Industry, CA). This position requires up to 50% travel.
Key Responsibilities :
• Develop expertise in the company’s product line and stay updated on new features and updates (focus primarily on refrigerated units and telematics)
• Promote Utility and CBNA product lines
• Conduct product demonstrations and presentations for customers, dealers, and internal teams
• Collaborate with sales and marketing to craft compelling product messaging
• Gather and analyze customer and dealer feedback to inform product improvements
• Provide post-sale support and resolve product-related issues
• Assist in training internal teams on product features and benefits
• Contribute to product development discussions and expanding business footprint
• Travel will be required for up to 50% of the time for dealer meetings, customer meetings, trade shows, and/or product launches
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, TEAMS, etc.)
• Refrigerated Trailer Experience required
• TRU and/or telematics experience preferred
• Excellent mechanical and diagnostic ability
• Ability to prioritize, delegate, and make decisions
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Attention to detail and process orientation
• Fluency in Spanish is preferred but not required
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field preferred

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, prioritize, and draw valid conclusions.
