Job Title: Product Manager of Planning Systems
Location: Remote in California
Job Type: Full-Time, Exempt
Compensation: $165,000 - $180,000

A fast-growing retail and consumer brand is seeking a hands-on Product Manager, Planning Systems to lead the strategy, roadmap, and implementation of its next-generation planning technology ecosystem. This role will be instrumental in driving the implementation and optimization of Oracle Planning
, serving as the technical lead and liaison between business users and technology partners through a multi-phase rollout extending into 2026.
The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise in Oracle Planning with a background in demand or merchandise planning
, and thrives at the intersection of systems and process improvement. You’ll be the go-to expert for ensuring the planning organization is set up for long-term success — connecting data, systems, and users to enable more accurate, efficient decision-making.
- Serve as the primary system owner for planning and allocation platforms, with emphasis on Oracle Planning implementation and integration.
- Act as the technical liaison between Planning, Merchandising, Finance, and Data teams to ensure seamless connectivity with ERP (Net Suite), Snowflake data lake, and other downstream systems.
- Lead system configuration, testing, and go-live readiness for multiple Oracle Planning modules (go-live planned for end of 2025, final module by mid-2026).
- Build and maintain the planning systems roadmap, driving automation, integration stability, and data integrity.
- Manage system incidents and post-mortems, ensuring issues are resolved with long-term solutions.
- Develop SOPs, workflows, and documentation for Planning and Allocation processes.
- Partner with vendors and internal teams to deliver on new features, data flows, and analytics improvements.
- 3–5 years of experience as a Product Manager or Systems Analyst in Planning Systems.
- Hands‑on experience implementing or managing Oracle Planning
. - Strong understanding of demand and merchandise planning processes and how they translate into system design.
- Technical background in system integrations, data mapping, and SaaS‑based planning tools.
- Familiarity with iPaaS tools (Boomi, Mulesoft, Celigo) and agile software delivery.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and cross‑functional communication skills.
- Experience in retail, CPG, or omni‑channel environments is highly preferred.
