The Data Quality Analyst plays a central role in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and consistency of our data products across refresh cycles. This position is responsible for performing comprehensive comparisons of current vs. previous product outputs, identifying potential data quality issues, documenting findings, and ensuring that all deliverables meet internal and external expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Write, execute, and automate complex SQL queries to evaluate data behavior across versions.
- Perform holistic comparisons of prior and current data products to identify expected and unexpected changes.
- Identify, elevate, and track potential data quality issues through the entire product lifecycle.
- Conduct formal product reviews for each data refresh cycle to ensure outputs meet requirements and specifications.
- Design, develop, and execute test plans and validation frameworks to confirm business rules and mappings as well as evaluate data product performance and reliability.
- Identify data defects, inconsistencies, and anomalies and support root‑cause analysis when needed.
- Communicate technical key findings and trends in a clear and actionable way to non‑technical stakeholders, as well as document via release notes.
- Develop KPIs and metrics to monitor data quality trends and measure changes over time.
- Bachelor’s degree in quantitative, technical, or clinical discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in data quality, validation, analytics, or similar data‑intensive roles.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, preferably in Snowflake or equivalent cloud systems.
- Experience with Python for automation, validation, or engineering tasks.
- Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, or similar tools.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to detect subtle inconsistencies.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills for translating technical issues clearly.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
