Are you a technology leader ready to shape the future of enterprise systems in a mission‑critical, 24x7 environment? The DMV is seeking an experienced IT Systems & Software Engineering Manager to lead system administration, software engineering, and client services across a complex and highly visible technology landscape.

In this pivotal role, you will guide a talented technical team, oversee enterprise and cloud applications, and serve as a technical project manager for major IT initiatives that directly support DMV’s mission.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic managerial and technical leadership for System and Software Engineering and Client Services.
  • Ensure reliable 24x7 operation of critical infrastructure and applications.
  • Oversee DMV Enterprise Applications, SaaS platforms, and cloud-based technologies.
  • Act as Technical Project Manager for new application deployments and system integrations.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of technology professionals responsible for application support, maintenance, and enhancements.
  • Coordinate support, maintenance, and deployment of systems within the Information Systems Division.
  • Drive operational excellence through best practices, security standards, and continuous improvement.

  • Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to quickly diagnose and resolve production issues in high‑availability environments.

  • Thrives in fast‑paced environments while fostering strong partnerships with customers and colleagues.
  • Demonstrated commitment to adhering to security policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
