Desktop Support Technician - IT

Desktop Support Technician | Service Metal |Pay: $24.00–$32.00/hour

Full-Time | Business Hours, 8am–5pm | Onsite

Join Service Metal's growing IT team and play a key role supporting technology across our corporate headquarters and warehouse operations. We're looking for a Desktop Support Technician who enjoys solving technical challenges, supporting end users, and helping drive reliable technology solutions across multiple locations. Recent graduates and early-career IT professionals are encouraged to apply.

You’ll work 2 days per week from our Maryland Heights corporate headquarters and 3 days per week from our St. Louis warehouse.

• Respond to all IT Help Desk communications to resolve issues
• Perform network troubleshooting issues
• Support Microsoft 365 administration and user account management
• Update internal users' software and applications
• Work together as a team with the IT Department to accomplish goals
• Develop training material for employees on new hardware and software

• B.S. in Computer Science, or STEM related education, or equivalent experience. Our team values real world experience
• Experience with managing devices remotely using Remote Desktop Sessions
• Familiarity with Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365
• Experience with setting up basic LAN networks
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members
• A team player looking to accomplish company goals with hard work and a positive attitude
• Willingness to travel between 2 different sites

You’ll split your week between two Service Metal locations:

• Maryland Heights Corporate Headquarters (2 days/week)
  • Dedicated IT workspace in the main bullpen
  • Sit-to-stand desks
  • Modern breakroom and collaboration areas
  • High-tech conference and training rooms
• Louis Warehouse (3 days/week)
  • Dedicated office space within warehouse operations
  • Direct collaboration with warehouse leadership and team members
