Optomi, in partnership with a leading organization, is seeking an enthusiastic IT Support Specialist to provide hands-on technology support to internal employees in a fast-paced corporate environment. This is a highly end-user-focused role where the individual will serve as the onsite point of contact for hardware, software, and workplace technology issues. The ideal candidate is someone early in their IT career who enjoys working with people, has a natural curiosity for technology, and is excited to build their career in corporate IT.
Whatthe Right Candidate will Enjoy:
- Serving as the onsite IT resource for employees and providing face-to-face technical support!
- Building, testing, configuring, and deploying PCs and other end-user technology!
- Working with Windows 11, macOS, iOS/iPhones, and Microsoft 365!
- Troubleshooting everything from everyday hardware issues to software and connectivity problems!
- Having ownership of the onsite IT support experience rather than sitting in a traditional remote service desk!
- Learning from experienced IT professionals and developing a broad foundation in enterprise technology!
- Working in a corporate environment where strong communication, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn are highly valued!
- Recent graduate or early-career professional with a Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related degree preferred.
- Strong interest in building a career in Information Technology and end-user support.
- Hands-on experience building, configuring, repairing, or troubleshooting PCs and other technology, whether professionally, academically, or personally.
- Familiarity with Windows 11, macOS, iOS/iPhone, and Microsoft 365.
- Strong customer service and communication skills with a genuine interest in helping people solve technology problems.
- Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies and troubleshooting unfamiliar issues.
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, personable, and comfortable working independently.
- IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft, or Apple certifications are a plus but not required.
- Serve as the primary onsite IT support resource for internal employees, responding to hardware, software, and general technology issues.
- Provide face-to-face, phone, ticketing, chat, and email support while delivering a high level of customer service.
- Build, configure, test, deploy, and maintain PCs, laptops, mobile devices, and other end-user technology.
- Troubleshoot Windows, macOS, iOS, Microsoft 365, hardware, software, and peripheral issues.
- Install, update, and manage software and applications across end-user devices.
- Support workstation and laptop deployments using established desktop management processes.
- Coordinate onsite technology support and take ownership of issues through resolution.
- Collaborate with other IT teams when issues require additional technical support.
- Maintain documentation and follow established IT processes for device configuration, deployment, and support.
