Banking and Real Estate Transactions Counsel
A leading client in the Los Angeles area is seeking an experienced Banking and Real Estate Transactions Counsel to join a prominent and growing real estate and finance practice in Los Angeles. This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated transactions and collaborate with top-tier professionals in a dynamic environment. This position sits in a hybrid environment in the Los Angeles metro.
Basepay
$/yr - $/yr
Key Responsibilities- Represent Lenders in complex financing deals
- Advise and structure commercial real estate financing transactions, including mortgage warehouse facilities and servicing rights agreements.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards throughout the transaction lifecycle.
- Manage Real Estate Transactions for Owners
- Provide counsel on property acquisitions, dispositions, and related agreements.
- Draft and negotiate purchase and sale contracts, closing documents, and ancillary agreements.
- Drafting & Negotiation Excellence
- Prepare and review complex loan documents, security agreements, and related instruments.
- Negotiate terms that balance legal risk with business objectives.
- Deal Management & Client Service
- Oversee transactions from inception to closing, coordinating with clients, lenders, and third parties.
- Deliver practical, business-oriented solutions under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience:
Minimum 8 years of relevant legal experience in banking, finance, and real estate transactions. - Technical
Skills:
Strong knowledge of commercial real estate finance, mortgage warehouse lending, and servicing rights. - Previous law firm experience is a must.
- Bar Admission:
Must be admitted to the California Bar.
- Experience representing owners in general real estate transactions, including acquisitions and sales.
- Familiarity with multi-party negotiations and complex deal structures.
- Work on high-value, sophisticated transactions.
