Litigation Paralegal, Labor & Employment Defense
Prominent defense firm in Downtown Los Angeles seeks an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of civil litigation experience, preferably within labor and employment, and demonstrated experience assisting in all aspects of trial preparation.
Base Pay Range$90,000.00/yr - $/yr
PrimaryDuties & Responsibilities
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, subpoenas, and trial documents; prepare exhibits and motion appendices.
- Support document review and production while tracking status and organization of case materials.
- Handle case file preparation, review, and maintenance.
- Assist with deposition, mediation, and trial preparation, and coordinate witness or expert interviews.
- Manage e‑discovery processes and ensure compliance with firm standards; enter billing and expenses promptly.
- Must meet California Business & Professions Code §6450 requirements; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of civil litigation defense experience;
Labor & Employment experience preferred but not required. - Strong understanding of litigation processes, including case management, document review, and trial preparation.
- Familiarity with state and federal court rules, including e‑filing procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), West Law, and billing systems.
