* Job Description:

** We're actively seeking a talented Paralegal II to join the Office of the General Counsel (OGC) in Omaha NE, or Newport Beach, CA. As a Paralegal II, you will collaborate closely with attorneys, paralegals, and other members of the OGC to support Pacific Life’s Consumer Markets Division, Institutional Division. and Workforce Benefits Division.
** How you will help move us forward:**
* ** Legal Research:
** Provide legal assistance as requested by divisional business clients and attorneys by conducting in-depth legal research to analyze, interpret, and draw conclusions regarding state & federal statutes, regulations, and case law related to the life insurance, annuity, and pension business and products,  estate and trust matters..
* ** Product*
* ** Compliance:
** Providing legal and compliance services to divisional clients and attorneys, helping with the compliance/implementation of changes in state and federal laws governing insurance, annuity, and pension products.
* ** File Organization and Case Management:
** Maintain comprehensive and organized matter files while adhering to Pacific Life’s confidentiality and ethical standards.
* ** Client Communication:
** Consult with divisional clients, attorneys, and other third parties to gather information, exchange documents, and provide updates on tasks and projects.
** The experience you bring:
*** Completion of ABA approves paralegal program
* Two plus years of recent paralegal experience; or equivalent aggregate experience.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to draft clear, concise, and well-structured communications that present complex legal concepts in an understandable manner, showing understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation.
* Comfortable working on multiple projects and prioritizing work streams as needed..
** What makes you stand out:
*** Strong demonstrable, legal research skills using online applications such as Westlaw Edge and Practical Law and Copilot
* Work experience in life insurance, annuity, and pension administration related products, and/or state and federal regulatory compliance. Also, estate planning, probate, trusts, guardian ships, conservatorships, and power of attorney.
* Technical knowledge, including Office 365 applications, Outlook, SharePoint, Open Text Core Share

** Base Pay Range:
** The base pay range noted represents the company’s good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.$71,550.00 - $87,450.00
