The Position:Legal Assistant
This role provides high-level administrative and legal support to multiple attorneys, ensuring adherence to firm processes and litigation deadlines. The position requires a strong understanding of state and federal litigation procedures, including electronic court filing and docketing.
The ideal candidate brings substantial commercial litigation experience, a stable work history, and a strong commitment to accuracy, organization, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
Key Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)- Attorney Support: Minimum three years supporting five or more attorneys simultaneously in a high-volume environment
- Commercial Litigation: Proven experience with litigation support, case management, and trial preparation

Experience:
At least three years in a large national law firm; candidates with no more than 10 years in this setting preferred - Career Stability: History of three or more years at prior organizations
- Court Filing: Proficiency with California state and federal e-filing
- Docketing: Strong calendaring and deadline-management experience
- TOA/TOC: Expertise preparing tables of authorities and tables of contents in compliance with court rules
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to multiple attorneys, including drafting, editing, formatting, and producing legal documents
- Prepare and file pleadings and related documents in state and federal courts
- Maintain electronic and hard-copy client files
- Manage attorney calendars, deadlines, meetings, and court appearances
- Proofread documents for accuracy, formatting, and completeness
- Assist with timekeeping and billing processes
- Coordinate intake and setup for new client matters
- Handle incoming calls, mail, and visitors professionally
- Arrange attorney travel for hearings, meetings, and trials
- Assist with closing matters and preparing final documents
- Provide backup support to other administrative staff
- Perform general clerical and office support duties
- Complete additional assignments as needed
- Experience: 6–10 years of commercial litigation experience preferred; federal court experience a plus

Proficiency in ECF filing, docketing, calendaring, and Microsoft 365 - Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills
