Base Pay Range$ - $
Responsibilities- Represent DOSH in complex and sensitive administrative hearings before the Occupational Safety and Health Appeals Board.
- Represent DOSH in civil and writ litigation before California trial and appellate courts.
- Provide legal advice and policy guidance to the Chief, management, and the Division.
- Analyze and draft proposed legislation and regulations.
- Provide legal services on a wide variety of issues in occupational safety and health law, administrative law, employment law, labor law, constitutional law, corporate law, bankruptcy law, criminal law and civil procedure law.
Perform competently and with strong technical skills in the specific job duties identified; work with minimal supervision; communicate effectively in writing and orally; appear in civil or administrative courts; travel as necessary; maintain high ethical standards.
Working ConditionsDivision of Occupational Safety and Health – Legal Unit, 3737 Main St., Ste. 201, Riverside, CA 92501. Full‑time position with extensive computer use, in‑state travel, and extensive work hours as needed.
