Burke, Williams & Sorensen is a full-service law firm with deep expertise in litigation, providing high-quality legal services to public agencies, private entities, and individuals throughout California. Burke offers a collaborative environment where attorneys work alongside seasoned practitioners to deliver effective and strategic representation. We are seeking an associate with 1–2 years of experience to join the expanding Litigation team.

• Excellent writing, research and analytical skills
• Support partners and senior attorneys in all phases of civil litigation, including case assessment, discovery, motion practice, mediation, and trial preparation
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on substantive legal issues
• Manage case deadlines and ensure timely filings and compliance with procedural rules
• Participate in client interviews, witness preparation, depositions, mediations, and trial preparation
• Thrive in a collegial, fast-paced environment with opportunities for early responsibility and direct client interaction

• 1–2 years of relevant litigation experience
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment
