The RoleThis is a high‑visibility position for a Senior Associate or Of Counsel to lead on a diverse portfolio of employment matters. You will act as a primary point of contact for a prestigious client base, navigating the complexities of California’s unique legal landscape.
- Complex Litigation: Lead the defense in class actions, single‑plaintiff cases, and PAGA claims involving wage and hour, harassment, and discrimination.
- Strategic Advisory: Provide day‑to‑day counsel on "life‑cycle" employment issues including restrictive covenants, employee mobility, and commission plans.
- Transactional Support: Conduct deep‑dive due diligence and negotiate executive agreements for major corporate mergers and acquisitions.
- Practice Leadership: Direct legal research, drafting, and trial preparation while mentoring junior associates within a high‑performance environment.
- Qualifications: JD and active California Bar membership are essential.
- Experience: Minimum 6 years of dedicated Labor & Employment experience. You must possess a strong command of the California Labor Code and federal employment statutes.
- Trial Ready: Proven experience in litigation management and a background that includes trial experience is highly preferred.
- Versatility: The ability to pivot between intense litigation and nuanced "advice and counsel" work for a wide range of corporate clients.
