Overview

We partner with regulated organizations seeking experienced compliance counsel to support environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives and corporate governance compliance programs. This role advises on regulatory requirements, disclosure obligations, and governance frameworks, and works closely with legal, compliance, risk, and executive stakeholders to ensure alignment with evolving regulatory and investor expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise on ESG‑related regulatory requirements, disclosures, and compliance obligations
  • Support corporate governance compliance, including policies, controls, and oversight frameworks
  • Assist with ESG reporting, regulatory filings, and stakeholder disclosures
  • Interpret evolving ESG regulations and governance standards and assess organizational impact
  • Support internal reviews, audits, and remediation efforts related to governance and ESG compliance
  • Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Finance teams on ESG initiatives
  • Draft, review, and update compliance policies, procedures, and governance documentation
  • Monitor regulatory developments and emerging trends related to ESG and corporate governance
Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school; active bar admission preferred
  • 5–10+ years of experience in compliance, ESG, corporate governance, or related legal roles
  • Strong knowledge of ESG frameworks, regulatory disclosure requirements, and governance practices
  • Experience supporting regulated organizations or public companies preferred
  • Ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical compliance guidance
  • Strong writing, analytical, and stakeholder management skills
Compensation

$145,000–$195,000 base salary, depending on experience and market
