Job Description

The following general description applies to all hourly store team members. Please read the detailed information listed below.

• Operate all equipment needed for store operations.
• Stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler.
• Prepare product and batch items.
• Receive and process telephone orders.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.

Orientation and training provided on the job.

• Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
• Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.

• Perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide) accurately and quickly (calculator permitted).
• Make correct monetary change.
• Use verbal, written, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers for rapid, accurate movements.
• Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.

• Exposure to varying weather conditions when removing trash and performing outside tasks.
• In‑store temperatures ranging from 36°F in the cooler to over 90°F in some work areas.
• Possible exposure to food odors, cornmeal dust, and fumes.
• Work in cramped quarters, including walk‑in cooler.
• Hot surfaces/tools from ovens up to 500°F or higher.
• Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.

• Standing for most tasks on ceramic tile or linoleum surfaces.
• Walking distances are generally short.
• Sitting for paperwork in an office setting.
• Lifting bulk product deliveries (up to 50 lbs) using hand truck; stacking onto shelves up to 72” high.
• Carrying large cans, pizza sauce, and trays of pizza dough (approx. 12 lbs each).
• Pushing packs of trays on dollies, requiring up to 7.5 lbs force.
• Occasional climbing of stairs or ladders for maintenance tasks.
