About The Position

The Planning Supervisor supervises the planning workforce responsible for providing properly detailed work packages necessary to maintain and operate Callaway Energy Center.

Key responsibilities include
  • Supervise planning personnel in developing and planning preventive, corrective and surveillance work documents for both daily and refueling outage activities.
  • Develop and execute plans for the selection and development of planning staff.
  • Instruct and train personnel in the expectations of the Planning Department.
  • Implement corrective actions to resolve System Health deficiencies.
  • Ensure high‑quality work packages are provided for craft, contractor and vendor execution of activities.
  • Assist the Work Coordinators and Work Week Managers in efficiently bundling/scheduling work activities.
  • Communicate effectively with all departments associated with the work management process.
  • Ensure work performed is in accordance with applicable station procedures and policies.
  • Perform special studies and projects as assigned.
  • Assume Emergency Response Organization (ERO) duties in accordance with the Callaway Energy Center Radiological Emergency Response Plan (RERP), including responding to assigned ERO facilities within the required RERP response time.
Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (Engineering, Physical Science, etc.) from an accredited institution preferred. Five years of power plant or relevant experience required. Three years in a planning‑related field preferred. Supervisory experience in planning or scheduling activities preferred.

Additional Qualifications

Good decision‑making, leadership, communication and human‑relations skills required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office required. Proficiency with EMPRV, Primavera or other scheduling software preferred. After preliminary review, selected applicants must take the First Line Supervisor Test and obtain a recommended status in order to be eligible for additional selection procedures (e.g., interview) designated for this position. Security screening required for Callaway Energy Center access.

Working

Conditions

The Planning Supervisor works a standard day shift in an office/plant environment. Additional hours, callouts and/or rotating shifts and outage schedules may be required to support plant operations.

Additional Information

Ameren’s selection process includes a series of interviews and may include a leadership assessment process. Specific details will be provided to qualified candidates.

Roles are eligible for additional rewards including annual incentive payments based on individual and company performance.
