Site Health & Safety; H&S Manager

Blue Moon Metals is seeking a dedicated and experienced Site Health & Safety (H&S) Manager to lead our safety initiatives across US-based projects to help shape a safe and sustainable future for our projects and teams. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in construction or industrial project safety management. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, fostering a culture of safety, and minimizing risks to personnel and operations.

• Develop, implement, and monitor site-specific health and safety programs in accordance with Blue Moon Metals’ standards and US federal, state, and local regulations.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify hazards, unsafe practices, and opportunities for improvement.
• Lead incident investigations, prepare reports, and ensure corrective actions are implemented and tracked.
• Coordinate and deliver safety training, toolbox talks, and orientation sessions for all site personnel, including subcontractors.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of safety records, reports, and regulatory submissions.
• Work closely with project management and site supervisors to integrate safety priorities into daily operations.
• Promote a proactive safety culture by encouraging hazard reporting and leading safety meetings.
• Liaise with regulatory agencies during inspections, audits, and incident responses as required.
• Stay informed on industry best practices, regulatory changes, and emerging risks relevant to project activities.

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field preferred. Equivalent experience considered.
• 5–7 years of progressive experience in health and safety management on construction or industrial sites, preferably in the metals or heavy manufacturing sector.
• Certifications such as CHST, CSP, or OSHA 30-hour are highly desirable.
• Strong working knowledge of US OSHA regulations and other applicable federal and state safety standards.
• Experience with incident investigation, root cause analysis, and risk assessment methodologies.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with safety management software and MS Office Suite.
• Ability to travel to various project sites within the US as needed.
• Valid driver's license.

• Project-based role with primary work on active construction and industrial sites.
• Exposure to various weather conditions and physical environments.
• Can be residential near the Blue Moon project site in Mariposa County, California, or rotational position between the Blue Moon and Springer (Nevada) project sites.
